if you are having issues with getting a telegram account, please comment the dropbox with a clear way to reach you (wire/journal/etc) and someone will reach out to help you get a telegram account. we are aware of various issues with google numbers and understand that getting a telegram account is a pain, but in our experience, the biggest issue with telegram is getting it.

telegram offers us the most organization and flexibility for what we are using it for. with telegram's new "topics" mode, we are able to get the organizatonal features of discord servers with the flexibility of being able to link multiple accounts on mobile like wire offers.

there is an alternative we've looked into called potato chat, which has a lot of similar characteristics to telegram without requiring a phone number. initial investigations have shown there are no emoji reactions for messages, less customization, and no group organizational features that we have come to rely on with telegram. if potato chat adds these features in the future, we may transition down the line; but for now, we're sticking with telegram unil an additional option that fits our needs presents itself.

it means that while the members are comfortable discussing and writing smut, that is not ALL we are interested in. therefore, we're making it more broad and allowing members to essentially "opt in" to the smut parts of the gpsl.

it also means we are very open to all sorts of relationships without judgements. some couples may be open, some couples may swing, some people may have closed relationships but are fine discussing sex and fine with sexual humor. we are trusting our members to be able to communicate their boundaries.

absolutely not. all nsfw topics/discussions will be held in clearly marked topics in the optional chat.

in the mandatory group chat, there is a news & announcements channel where we post all comm-wide activities. some things we've done in the past are:

if you need to take some time away from the group for longer than two weeks, please let us know so that we don't think you're deadweight. our definition of "take some time away" means if you are not speaking to anyone OR checking your telegram messages.

this does not mean you have to be constantly in a group chat or that you can't have a busy week or two without fear of being removed. everyone gets busy; everyone has real life things. just communicate via the dropbox and let us know what you need and we will accommodate as much as we can.
